Myitta Wai Nutrition respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This page outlines how your data is collected, used, and stored, as well as the legal terms of service, including telehealth, jurisdiction, client consent, and appointment policies.

1. Privacy Policy

What information we collect

When you book an appointment, fill out forms, or contact us, we may collect personal information including:

  • Your name, contact details, and date of birth

  • Medical and health history relevant to dietetic care

  • Consultation notes and service history

  • Payment and billing information

How your information is used

We use your information to:

  • Provide nutrition and dietetic services

  • Communicate with you about your care

  • Maintain clinical records in line with Australian health regulations

  • Process payments or health insurance claims (where applicable)

How your information is stored

All information is stored securely using encrypted, Australian-based health platforms such as HealthBank, and is only accessible by the practitioner.

Third-party services

We may use third-party tools such as booking platforms and video conferencing software. These providers are required to meet relevant data protection standards. Your data will never be sold or shared for marketing purposes.

2. Jurisdiction & Scope of Practice

Myitta Wai Nutrition is operated by an Australia-based Accredited Practising Dietitian, providing services under Australian law, professional standards, and insurance.

Services are delivered via telehealth and are available to clients across Australia and internationally. However:

  • I do not hold licensure in other countries

  • All advice and services are provided under Australian jurisdiction

  • I do not claim to practise dietetics under the laws of other nations

Clients outside Australia are welcome to access services for general nutrition support. You are responsible for ensuring the suitability of accessing Australian-based services from your location.

3. Location of Practitioner

Even when travelling or residing temporarily outside Australia, I continue to operate as an Australian-registered practitioner. All services are delivered under Australian regulation and are not intended to substitute care from a locally registered practitioner in other countries.

4. Telehealth Consent

By engaging with Myitta Wai Nutrition, you acknowledge and consent to the use of telehealth (video or phone-based consultations). This includes:

  • Use of secure platforms for video calls and document sharing

  • Possible risks such as technical disruptions or confidentiality limitations associated with telehealth

You understand that:

  • Telehealth services are provided under Australian regulation

  • You may withdraw consent for telehealth at any time

  • Medicare or insurance rebates are subject to eligibility and the use of approved platforms

5. Medicare and Private Health Rebates

  • Medicare rebates may be available if you have a referral from your GP under a Chronic Disease Management Plan

  • Private health insurance rebates may apply, depending on your fund and level of cover

  • Clients are responsible for confirming their eligibility with their insurer or GP

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. To ensure fairness and optimal scheduling, please note the following:

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made 24 hours or more before the scheduled appointment can be done at no cost to you.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the consultation fee.

  • Missed appointments without prior notice (no-shows) will result in the forfeiture of the full consultation fee.

  • The credit card booking fee charged by our payment provider is non-refundable.

  • For non-financial or bundled consultations, cancellations within 24 hours will be forfeited.

To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please use the HealthBank platform or contact us directly via email.

7. Refund Policy

  • Consultation fees are non-refundable once the session has been delivered.

  • Package payments are non-refundable once the first session has been used.

  • Unused sessions in a package may be credited or partially refunded at the discretion of Myitta Wai Nutrition.

  • Refunds are not available for missed appointments or late cancellations (see Section 6).

8. Payment Terms for Private Bookings (e.g. Myanmar-based clients)

  • For bookings made outside of HealthBank, full payment is required at least 48 hours before the appointment to confirm your booking.

  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer or KPay, if arranged in advance.

  • If payment is not received on time, the appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled at the practitioner’s discretion.
